[he's not surprised, considering who they had to get through to get here]

Just now. How long have you been here?

A while. I didn't want to leave her until more people showed up. She said she needs a lot to build her base.

I can't tell you where the others are, assuming they're not here.

[he can't tell since he can't see anyone but Sakura and Roxy]

But if they aren't, then 'm sure they'll arrive soon.

Yeah, it's just you and me right now.

I could use your help with something though. Roxy suggested it.

Eh? What is it?

I need you to combine your power with mine so we can draw out water from the void. We're going to make a pool. There's someone coming here that needs it. And I think Roxy responds well to it too now, because of him.

A pool, huh?

I'm pretty good at flowers and cards, and I can draw larger items from the Void if I concentrate.. But a pool might be pretty difficult.

[thoughtful hum]

What's your power? How're we supposed to combine 'em to accomplish this?

Blood. Bonds. I call to the connection people have with each other. And with the rules around them or something. I haven't really done a lot with the second part. But I've gotten pretty good with the first.

I figure if I tap into the connection Roxy and Haru have with water and combine that with your power, maybe we can manage something.

Heh, maybe. That might be the boost I need to perform a little magic~ There's no harm in trying!

Hope's saying it should be easier for me to tap into the Void here. So lemme reach out and see what I can grab first, and you can give me a boost with that bond power of yours.

Yeah, that sounds like a plan.

[a nod, and he firms his stance, closing his eyes to concentrate, concentrate. . . he reaches into the void, focusing on the creation aspect of it that surrounds the room-- steal nothing from something, create something from nothing-- and attempts to form a pool of water on the ground near the feather]

[ Sakura is also focusing, focusing on that bond between Haru and the water, the bond that Haru has inadvertently passed onto Roxy, focusing on actually pulling that bond, calling it toward him, using it to stabilize Kaito's own visualization. ]

[It's easier. So much easier in Hope because that's what it's always been for Roxy. To change things, to make it better. As the two of them tap into their powers, they may or may not notice the fireflies gathering around them, flickering brightly.]

[There are feelings there. Understanding. Power in water, danger, but peace and safety. Whispers of water metaphors because that has now become a thing.]

[A new bond, a surprising friendship.]

[There it is, that chunk of void, waiting to make something, just needing to be snatched away.]

[his eyes are closed so he doesn't notice the fireflies, but he feels that chunk of void. his mouth twitches, a small, confident grin]

[he snatches it, and he attempts to shape it into that that new bond-- into water]

[ Sakura doesn't need to see the fireflies, having already spent so much time around them. He can feel their warmth, their glow. He uses their added encouragement to sharpen their joined focus, to aide in Kaito's efforts, strengthening that shape. ]

[Water, water, water]

[Poof!]

[Have a pumpkin shaped pool.]

[ I'm. I'm not even surprised. ]

[. . . LAUGHS]

Ha! Not bad, not bad~

I should've figured, after everything Roxy said about pumpkins being a void default item. But a pool's a pool. I think we did all right.

So do I.

I'm not quite sure I get it, but I s'pose that's not my job anymore.

We just need to get Roxy for now.
