[ It's so pretty... He takes in the awing sight for a moment before turning his attention back to young Roxy. He's also probably trying to use that whole blood sight again to see if there's anything here that deserves particular focus. ]

[A lot of the colored cubes have blood bonds to them, all leading back to hope. But they're....not right. They're broken, torn, ragged. And it almost seems like when she's stacking them up, she's trying to connect the bonds again, but then they shatter, break, it all falls apart over and over again.]

[There are a few....stabilish ties, between the center cube, the only one to have a strong bond to Roxy, and a few other cubes. Orange, cyan, dark green, red, gray, blue, green, and violet. But it's those cubes that are broken.]

[She doesn't look away from her structure building.]

[ Yes, he's definitely going to try strengthening those ragged bonds, hoping to make them slightly less fragile, pouring all the support and encouragement he can into them. Maybe once he gets a feel for how much they're going to need, he can figure out what to do about those cubes. Since they look a lot more daunting... ]

What are you working on?

Trying to make...something. Something functional.

[The bonds are....having a hard time mending.]

[But the bonds are probably familiar enough from what you've seen. Colors are strong representations for Roxy and those...those are her friends.]

[ Well, he's not going to stop. ]

[ He will sit beside her then, pretty damn close because lol what is personal space to Sakura when he's on a mission. But instead of reaching for his own cube, he's just going to place his hands around hers to help her steady the one she's working on stacking. ]

What about belief, Roxy?

[She stops, and looks up, surprised, and....far more vulnerable looking minus a few years. Or maybe that's just because of the Aspect she is.]

Belief?

Yeah, you said you needed something to keep going. What about belief? I'm not talking faith though. I'm talking the sincere belief that you can make things happen. Different. Because you have people backing you up along the way. Bolstering your every move. You can keep going for that, for that belief in yourself and the people around you.

[She looked at him and then around at all the blocks around them.]

...I....I was doing that.

I was doing that for a long time now. My friends and I....I thought as long as I had my friends, we'd be fine. Even if we fought, even if we had misunderstandings, and such...STUPID drama...

I'd just think back to my sixteenth bday. When Jake and Jane realized that Dirk and I never had a proper bday celebration. How they set up a real party for us, made us feel almost like norm kids who had norm lives. How Dirk and I sat on the roof, and just understood.

I thought...despite all the stupid, we still loved each other. Still cared. Would still have each other's back and if we had each other, we'd make it.

[Her hands shake in his.] I thought together we could win, and have that happy ending. Even...even if I had to save 'em again in Kyriakos, that what was waiting would be fine.

[She smiled sadly.] Maybe even better. 'cause I'd be more used to a bunch of people! I could understand Jake and Jane better, I could help Dirk feel normal! And....and I'd get to introduce them to so many people. To all my new friends and family.

[And tears are in her eyes.] Dirk could troll, oh my god, SO MANY people and meet all sorts of cute boys. Jake would just ask to explore everyone's world and have adventures. And Jane could show everyone what a real cake should taste like. AR would be a marvel to so many people. Callie would have so many peeps to share her stories with.

I....I thought 'bout how amazing it'd be, all the time. Just make it to the end, fix your soul, get 'em back, get your crew to make the way between worlds, and we'd have all sorts of good memories to make up for all the bullshit.

[ He tries to steady his now trembling hands against hers, just as he tries to steady his now trembling voice. ]

I... I remember you telling me about that party. I remember seeing a little too and hearing how special it was for you. I didn't really understand why at the time, just the joy of being around people important to you.

But... it's not over, Roxy. You can't stop believing that can still happen. Kyriakos changed everything. Us too. We're rebuilding, right? That means things don't have to stay the same. There's options. You create them too. I know it... seems harder, probably impossible, because of what you know happened. But after everything... I don't think that has to be set in stone. What I've seen here... this is impossible. But it's real. That's just my sight though. I have a feeling yours can be far greater.

[The tears are still coming.]

I....what if I can't?

I thought I could make the impossible happen, but I've...I've never seen any evidence of it. Never been able to make it happen yet.

[She sobs.] What if I never see 'em again? What if I can't save them?

[ He tries to entwine his fingers with hers, resting his head against hers and still struggling to keep his voice strong, not necessarily confident but full of conviction. He tries to call to all the bonds around him, give them just a bit more strength. ]

There's new rules, Roxy. But if you give up believing now... you'll never know. And I believe you can save them. This part of you wouldn't be here right now if there wasn't just a tiny bit of that belief left. I'm here to give you whatever you need to keep that part thriving. Not just existing.

Remember, there's more of us now, Roxy. Can't you feel them? All of the people who will stand with you and support you when you try again. We'll make it different. Together.

[They're flickering, flashing and....and are the fireflies being attracted to them? Huh.]

Together...?

[ Fireflies... Someone would find this stupidly romantic in less fucked up circumstances. But it does help him keep going and it gives him something else to reach out to with his power. He gives a firm nod. ]

Yeah. Me. Everyone else here. We're all ready to go the distance for you. I mean, this place is seriously fucked up. But we haven't given up on you. So you can't either.

But...but why...I...I don't...

[There is...life there. In fact, the fireflies might even feel kind of familiar from your thing in the water.]

[Never underestimate the power of fireflies.]

How many.... [She looks towards where the ladder was.] Why?

[ Oh good. Yes, come hang with us, pretty fireflies. ]

I probably haven't seen everyone. But I've seen a lot of names. I know for sure you've got Hydra, Technic, Lace, Sol, Veto, Wren and Har—Cascade. And I know there's at least three others I didn't recognize.

We're all here to help you because we're worried about you. We care about you, Roxy. We want to see you realize your dream.

I told you there's a lot of us now. And definitely! Every one of us is willing to help. With whatever. That's what Kyriakos is all about. That's what your friendships are about. Even if you have to do a lot, Roxy, we're going to do what we can too.

But...but it's....

It could be dangerous. It could get you killed. There's a good chance that the only way to FIX it is to break a whole bunch of rules of existence itself!

I can take dangerous for my friends. And as for breaking the laws of physics, well, at least we'll get to see some wild sights out of it.

Before I came here, I never imagined I'd see anything like this. And even if a lot of it has been kind of terrifying, it's also been totally worth it. I want to see the rest this experience, this friendship has to offer.
