[withdrawing her hand and giving her a smile as she moves to the exit]

[She nods, and offers a small smile.]

[And suddenly you're outside again.]

[You have lost your robot pursuers, but wow, you sure do got a whole bunch of Carapacians gathered in front of you. There seems to be a particular tall building on the other side.]

[okay, time to try to get through the crowd and head that way!]

All of you, follow me. [taking her sword from her sylladex, though, in the case of any eating emergencies]

[They are too scared and panicked to think of food right now, thankfully. And still the MOST OBEDIENT, but it seems a certain bunch at the front don't seem inclined to move.]

[Your phone pings again as you approach a tall building.]

[Which might be a bit vague except you can now also see a figure standing in between you and the building. It seems the Carapacians are giving her a wide berth.]

[It’s Roxy. Standing there in a t-shirt, skirt, and leggings, her mother’s scarf wrapped around her. In her hand is a piece of glass covered in blood, her own clothes stained the same. Around her are bodies. The bodies of her friends and Rose.]

[She looks over her shoulder at you, and she’s smiling, but her eyes are empty. She turns to you, and perhaps you’ll realize the blood is HERS. She’s covered in jagged injuries, but nowhere vital. Those spots are covered in bands of tiamt-with-black, a vibrant red, and blue. She holds out the shard of glass.]

Kill me.

...What? No, I'll get you somewhere safe, somewhere you can rest. What happened to you?

I don't want to go somewhere safe. I want everything to end.

[She gestures to the side at her dead friends.]

[So.]

...I'm here for you. There are others who are here for you, too. We're your friends. It doesn't have to be this way.

They're all dead. I'm from a universe where everything was dead before the Reapers even shoed up.

[She laughs, harsh, bitter, empty.]

These bodies are my future! They're all that's waiting for me. That and the villains I can't beat on my own.

[she's silent for a moment]
