[Her eyes no longer yellow, but an eerie, blank white.]

Thought I could do it, thought I could break the game, end it quick, minimal deaths....

But you didn't expect everyone else to follow suit.

I thought Epona might.

You did what you thought was best. You tried to protect as many lives as you could.

And killed 'em all in the process.

You didn't. Kyriakos did.

[this isn't any less bad than everything else he's felt so far, but at least he... understands it, if only a little bit]

You... had to go through that, so many times. That feeling, it is like you feel dead. Because you are the only one left... with none of the important things or people there anymore.

[sinks to the ground with her, and -- oh, screw it. He isn't a very touchy feely person, and before today he wouldn't have thought of hugging but. but dang does she need it now, so he (carefully) slides his arms around her shoulders and hugs her]

Don't do it for the universe. Screw the universe.

Do it for your friends. And-- trust us. The only reason we have made it this far is because we trusted you, when you asked us to die for you to gain immortality.

Trust us as much as we trust you. Trust us to support you and pick you up when you trip and fall. Trust us to help you in every capacity that we can, because I bet no one is going anywhere after this is through.

I guess I can see why, to some extent.

Sometimes it takes a while, to get to understand someone you've never met anybody else like. Everything's new, and different, certain things that fit with so many people suddenly don't with others, and it gets confusing, because you thought you were starting to figure it out and then it seems all wrong.

Not to mention, there's always a bit of a tough balance, between giving, receiving that sort of understanding, that sort of support. Especially when you throw words like pity and sympathy and 'like glass' in there. Do you know what I mean?

I should have known better. I know games, it's what I grew up with, and I....didn't even think it could....

That is also true.

The void is peaceful. Only natch, it's my aspect.

[She...she actually laughs. A bit bitterly.]

Like I've never met.

The ones who give me the most trouble are the most like people I know. That's why I know they need help, I can see it.

And kind of, but that's why....why I try to open up to 'em, but it never works out.

Had you been in many games like that before?

Y'all just die to. It's what happens. Everytime. What's the saying, once is coincidence, twice is a pattern. Five times kind of overkills it.

Doesn't matter how much I trust, how much I care, or work for. Doesn't matter how much I try to build up bonds.

Everyone goes away, one way or another.
