Re: RAGE
Hold on tight to that feeling.
[ even if he doesn't know it, even if his own emotions are a mess, just from hearing her words, he can tell how important this is ]
Re: RAGE
[She holds out the thermos cup, her other hand moving to her heart.] Hold onto it, huh?
Re: RAGE
Mm. It sounds like a very precious feeling. Even if it might cause pain and hurting, it's still really important, right?
Re: RAGE
Re: RAGE
Then it's important to remember it.
Re: RAGE
...all right.
Re: RAGE
How... do you feel?
Re: RAGE
[Now the mood whiplash and you're back in the Neighborhood, in front of a tall building.]
TG: thats the lab
TG: need to get on the roof
TG: theres a ladder down
TG: n also
TG: be a good friend
[And then it disconnected.]
[Which might be a bit vague except you can now also see a figure standing in between you and the building.]
[It’s Roxy. Standing there in a t-shirt, skirt, and leggings, her mother’s scarf wrapped around her. In her hand is a piece of glass covered in blood, her own clothes stained the same. Around her are bodies. The bodies of her friends and Rose.]
[She looks over her shoulder at you, and she’s smiling, but her eyes are empty. She turns to you, and perhaps you’ll realize the blood is HERS. She’s covered in jagged injuries, but nowhere vital. Those spots are covered in bands of tiamt-with-black, a vibrant red, and blue. She holds out the shard of glass.]
Kill me.
Re: RAGE
I can't. More importantly, I don't want to.
Re: RAGE
The bands won't let me do it myself. I've tried.
Re: RAGE
Is that part of the Game?
[ to continue your suffering? ]
Re: RAGE
It's people trying to insist on me clingin' to false hope.
[No idea if you would notice, but those red bands sure are the exact shade of sharkboy's eyes.]
[But dunno if you return those gay levels.]
Re: RAGE
Why do you say it's false?
Re: RAGE
Re: RAGE
Re: RAGE
It's been a constant stream of here's a nice thing, but here's this part of why it's also terrible. Find a human? Thousands of miles away. Hear about new friends? Ones in another universe, and the other two centuries are in the past. Oh, a Game to let you meet your friends and revive your dead family? Oh, yeah, it's also playing into the hands of the psychopath whose been makin' your life a living hell.
And at the end of taking those little good things, taking them as good signs, everyone you care about dies while you were ASLEEP.
Re: RAGE
You blame yourself for something that wasn't your choice. Your resentment is understandable.
Re: RAGE
Re: RAGE
We're in this together. I know I didn't experience any of that like you did. But you're not alone now.
Re: RAGE
Re: RAGE
[ but he's not letting go, just holding on ]
Roxy. Those bonds shouldn't be dismissed.
[ it feels strange for him to say it, but he knows that's true ]
Even if they might not be something you want, they're there. It isn't just your experiences that have shaped you... It's also the people you've met. That's something I'm learning from being here. From the people who know me from home. It's frustrating and it can be an annoying feeling, but... It's still important.
Re: RAGE
I just want to be with them!

Re: RAGE
I've seen all of this and I want to get to know you better. I'll take it all.
