[There's a building collapsing near you, and an injured Carapacian is trying to get out of the way of it.]

[It seems unlikely you'll be able to save them unscathed simply grabbing and running/flying.]

[Light is knowledge, certainty, clarity, luck, and relevancy. A Knight exploits that.

...Well, he doesn't have much knowledge about architecture, especially around here. And clarity isn't really helpful here. But luck, certainty, and relevancy... He can try to exploit those.

He flies in in front of the Carapacian (if this doesn't work, he can take the injury better than it can probably) and pulls out his sword in a defensive positioning, pouring all the relevance and luck he can into it. Surely, surely luck would have it that there's this one little flaw in the wall, one that wouldn't really matter most the time, but he can exploit that and turn it relevant as the exact spot his sword hits, and that flaw would cause the wall to break in just the right way that it falls to the sides instead, sparing them.

...You know, especially if some fire is sent ahead of the sword in order to weaken the wall further. Because things are obviously burning around here, it's not like the wall is fireproof...]

[But that is indeed a thing you can do and it ACTUALLY WORKS because gotta love Homestuck bullshit.]

[The walls cracks, buckles, breaks, rubble falling harmlessly to either side.]

But oh good, that worked. ...And he might be falling to his knees for a moment because he may have put a bit more than he meant to into that fire and he doesn't have that much back yet

But he smiles, and looks over his shoulder at the Carapacian.]

[I swear, y'all are gonna make my jiiii elements into like elements and it will be WEIRD.]

[And that whole body language thing may make more sense now. The Carapacian never talks, but it's easy to somehow taking that flailing and get words.]

"We're all going to die! Everything is burning don't you see?!"

It'll be okay. The fire doesn't hurt me. And I'll protect you and get you to safety.

Are there any others nearby?

[Wait what.]

"Can you really?!"

[There's probably something on fire close by so he'll just stick his hand right in it for a couple seconds... and then pull it out and it's completely fine, no injury at all :D]

[Carapacians are kinda Rude, sorry.]

Of course. I mean, what'd I just do?

"Then we need to leave! More drones are coming!"

[nod nod]

Are there more of you?

"Of course there are, we're a colony!"

Where are they? I'll clear a path to somewhere safe for everybody.

[The Carapacian looks at him, incredulous.]

"They're everywhere! Everything is on fire!"

Okay, okay.

[Well, the best thing to do is pull the Carapacian up onto his back so he's giving the little guy a piggy back ride and then fly up into the air to see if he can spot any others.]

[There is a lot.]

[It's a really big colony.]

[...he maaaaaay be biting off more than he can chew with this, huh.

...Well, he can at least try. He'll try and use a Light-y thing to know where the closest large group is and head over there, if nothing else.]

[A tiny bit.]

[But that does help narrow it down. Though the larger groups are more near the center of the colony with the robots, and away from the Lab. Lighty pings say he'll probably have to deal with more bullshit deviating from the path.]

[But it may also do more good to save more Carapacians.]

[...okay yeah saving the Carapacians is more important than avoiding dealing with crap, and besides they're important to Roxy

also he promised, didn't he?

flying over toward where they'll be then, because maybe he can carve a path and have the group follow him to the lab which he hopes is safer

or, you know, if all else fails, set fire to some robots or something]
