Most of 'em are used to Roxy being kind. They saw something more aggressive and they jumped to the wrong conclusions. So they didn't get as much kindness.

Yes.

She was trying to hold back a tidal wave through pure force. People understanding it, letting her share what she was holding back, made it easier for her to just divert and weather through it. There'll still be some problems, but she can deal with them without having everything break down.
