I care. [ not that he asked for that ] I've experienced some of your memories here. I've seen different parts of you. Parts that were pretending to be happy, but were in pain. Parts that wanted nothing more than to be understood and hurting others to share that. Parts that just wanted to protect, but couldn't protect herself. And your another part. That shares some of those qualities because you're all Roxy, right?

[ then, quieter ]

[She closes her eyes, and just...let's out a breath, and there's something to that.]

[And suddenly you're back in the Neighborhood with all the fire, on the street now.]

[There's a building collapsing near you, and an injured Carapacian is trying to get out of the way of it.]

[ . . . stares as he's taken away from her. there's a moment of disorientation, but he sees that building collapsing, starting to run, until his powers tap in to fly, wanting to save it ]

[Rage is whiplash room, sorry bro.]

[You can certainly fly, but it seems unlikely you'll be fast enough with simple flying to escape unscathed.]

[ taps further into his powers as he sees he won't be there in time, destroy the building, destroy that destruction. it's... not what he ideally wants to do, but he doesn't want more possible regrets in here. not for Roxy, at least. he'll try to protect what he can to help her ]

[BOOM.]

[It's very easy to destroy heart manifestation, man.]

[The wall turns to rumble and it falls around you harmless.]

[You now +1 flailing Carapacian.]

[ looking at the Carapacian, checking how injured it is, once it's safe ]

[It is mildly injured, but still mobile.]

[Also, strangely, even though it doesn't speak, it's very easy to take that flailing and understand what it means.]

"We must run! Everything is coming down!"

"Anywhere! Anywhere that is not on fire, the ocean?!"

[ hey, hey he might be a water nut, but that is legit even if he isn't. ocean = safe from fire. it's a very valid thing ]

[But Carapacian will totally just ditch you, they are kinda Rude.]

[ he's okay with that. hoping the best for it, since he needs to focus on the lab and getting there. and that's exactly where he's aiming for once again ]

[ and then he understands what she meant about the void. how... easy it could be to let it swallow him. just like how easy it could be to let himself sink into the water. after all those feelings, after that break... being consumed doesn't sound so bad. and for the moment, he'll just... float ]

[Your phone will just start pinging you now.]

[ it will take him a moment, but he registers this and pulls his phone out to look at it, eyes barely reading the words ]

TG: that memory
TG: i mean she was always kinda wrecked
TG: but it made a boat that could still be a boat

TG: and just filled it with a bunch of holes
TG: the damage from that mem is what youve been counteracting.

CW: but now i can understand

CW: and i can see why this void is so calming
