It's a really long story.

[and a little hard to summarize]

But, at first, I didn't know anything about being a person. I thought there was nothing special about me......I thought it wasn't important if I got hurt. I thought my life didn't matter.

You taught me how to think differently, that it was okay to think differently. To....to be alive in a way that was really living. You considered me to be important. You thought it was worth it to care about me.

[crying a little more, unable to help it]

[That actually is really good to hear? Because her own sense of self has been brought into question. If she mattered, if she was important, but...she taught someone that? Didn't that mean...she knew?]

[Slowly, slowly she moves out from the cans, approaching her.]

[She's trying to blink away the tears, keeping her hands where they are so as not to break her promise of not moving except when Roxy said she could. Her vision is blurred, but she smiles a trembling little smile.]

[And there's tears in her eyes now and you are GETTING A BITTY HUG.]

[Gently returns it!! One arm to start with, so Roxy doesn't feel trapped. And.....kissing the top off her head, laughing quietly.]

[There's a slight jolt because HOLY SHIT, YOU'RE WARM AND SOFT.]

[But she's gonna keep hugging and maybe cry on you a bit.]

[gently strokes her hair, murmuring reassurances and soft words of gratitude]

[It’s Roxy. Standing there in a t-shirt, skirt, and leggings, her mother’s scarf wrapped around her. In her hand is a piece of glass covered in blood, her own clothes stained the same. Around her are bodies. The bodies of her friends and Rose.]

[She looks over her shoulder at you, and she’s smiling, but her eyes are empty. She turns to you, and perhaps you’ll realize the blood is HERS. She’s covered in jagged injuries, but nowhere vital. Those spots are covered in bands of tiamt-with-black, a vibrant red, and blue. She holds out the shard of glass.]
